16/01/2017 | 2002 views

Australia’s commitment to development cooperation with Vietnam is ongoing, and reflects our maturing economic partnership.  By helping to stimulate the private sector, upskill the workforce, and support inclusive growth, we will contribute to our shared, overarching goal of promoting prosperity and reducing poverty in Vietnam.

Australia Awards Scholarships are prestigious international awards offered by the Australian Government to the next generation of global leaders for development. Through study and research, recipients develop the skills and knowledge to drive change and help build enduring people-to-people links with Australia.

Applicants will be assessed for their professional and personal qualities, academic competence and, most importantly, their potential to address development challenges in Vietnam.

Awards are offered on the basis of merit, transparency and equal access. Applications are strongly encouraged from people with disability, from disadvantaged rural areas and from ethnic minorities. A support scheme is available to assist equal participation for these applicants.
